چکیده

This paper is part of a research on static analysis in order to predict program resources and belongs to the implicit computational complexity line of research. It presents intrinsic characterizations of the classes of functions, which are computable in NC, that is by a uniform, poly-logarithmic depth and polynomial size family of circuits, using first order functional programs. Our characterizations are new in terms of first order functional programming language and extend the characterization of NC in [9]. These characterizations are obtained using a complexity measure, the sup-interpretation, which gives upper bounds on the size of computed values and captures a lot of program schemas.

A Characterization of Alternating Log Time by First Order Functional Programs

We a give an intrinsic characterization of the class of functions which are computable in NC that is by a uniform, logarithmic depth and polynomial size family circuit. Recall that the class of functions in ALogTime, that is in logarithmic time on an Alternating Turing Machine, is NC. Our characterization is in terms of first order functional programming languages. We define measure-tools calle...

Transforming Workpiece Geometries into Lathe-NC Programs by Qualitative Simulation

A knowledge-based process-planning system for generating workplans for idealized lathe CNC machines is discussed. It transforms CAD-like diagrams of rotational-symmetric workpieces into abstract NC programs. To simplify development and evolution , declarative representations are used for all processing stages and steps, including a qualitative simulation of lathe turning. The version presented ...

The Study of Collagen Immobilization on a Novel Nanocomposite to Enhance Cell Adhesion and Growth

Background: Surface properties of a biomaterial could be critical in determining biomaterial’s biocompatibility due to the fact that the first interactions between the biological environment and artificial materials are most likely occurred at material’s surface. In this study, the surface properties of a new nanocomposite (NC) polymeric material were modified by combining plasma treatment and...

Observation of implicit complexity by non confluence

We propose to consider non confluence with respect to implicit complexity. We come back to some well known classes of first-order functional program, for which we have a characterization of their intentional properties, namely the class of cons-free programs, the class of programs with an interpretation, and the class of programs with a quasi-interpretation together with a termination proof by ...

Synthesis and Characterization of Functionalized SBA-15 Mesoporous Silica by N, N´-Bis(salicylidene)ethylenediamine Schiff-Base

In this work, BSEA-SBA-15 was prepared for the first time, which was prepared by covalently anchoring Schiff-base compound (N,N´-bis(salicylidene)ethylenediamine (BSEA) on SBA-15 by hydrothermal method. The structure and physicochemical properties were determined by elemental analysis, XRD, nitrogen adsorption–desorption, thermogravimetric analysis and FTIR spectroscopy, SEM, BET surface area a...
